“Friendly Strangers” Photo Exhibition

“A story about humanity.”

This is essentially how art director and creative designer Elsa Allen describes “Friendly Strangers”, an exclusive selection of photography taken by herself, depicting the human experience of a young solo photographer travelling the world, offering the visitors a journey through the looks and faces of the people who welcomed her in the most remote corners of this earth. All this with the context of the Maltese capital of Valletta, nominated for the current year as the European Capital of Culture, serving as the basis to invite everyone to discover, enjoy and create culture together.

With hindsight to the selection of photography, Elsa further comments that the exhibition ultimately encompasses “the power to feel at home, even in the most remote corner of the world. It’s about people that welcomed me with a smile, a look, a gesture; strangers who shared a moment of their lives, that left me with an incredible memory, to remembered forever. And now, I can only dare to share my experience through these photos.”

The exhibition consists of 23 large format photos, shot by the artist herself.
The prints are on sale as single pieces signed by the artist, and the artist is donating part of the proceeds to the Malta Community Chest Fund.
