As the name implies The Londoners Hotel which is situated at The Strand in Sliema, Malta, is a place with a narrative of the soul of the city of London. The interior design is a blend between the timelessness of tradition and the vibrant pulse of modernity, creating a space that is at once elegant and contemporary.
The two-tone painted walls create a canvas that tells the story of contrasts and unity; echoing the dynamic nature of London itself. The wall panelling adds a touch of sophistication, a nod to the city’s rich history, while serving as a backdrop for the unfolding drama of the modern era. We used tan leathers, reminiscent of well-worn leather-bound books and the traditional craftsmanship that defines the city, seamlessly intertwine with the raw and exposed concrete surfaces that symbolize the gritty urban landscape. This juxtaposition captures the essence of London; a city that holds its story close, even as it strides confidently into the future.
Hints of black details, reminiscent of the city’s iconic black cabs and sleek architecture, punctuate the design, grounding it in the contemporary urban reality. And then, there is the British racing green velvet fabric which is an opulent touch that pays homage to London’s cultural refinement and its lush parks.
