International design and architecture studio DAAA Haus unveils Sabi Beach Club, a four-part coastal experience on Malta’s northern shoreline that redefines Mediterranean leisure through spatial storytelling and material sophistication. The project comprises of Sabi Café, Sabi Beach Club, Kora Terrace, and Kora; four interconnected yet distinct environments that flow seamlessly from morning light to late-night rhythm.
Nestled where land sighs into the sea, Sabi Beach is not just a beach club – it is a state of being. Designed by DAAA Haus under the creative direction of Keith Pillow, this intimate coastal sanctuary invites dreamers and sun-chasers into a slow dance of barefoot luxury, where the whisper of timber and the texture of stone tell stories richer than any ornament.
Located on Malta’s northern shoreline, Sabi unfolds in quiet rituals. Architecture here breathes with the landscape – spaces are not just filled, but deeply felt. It is a sanctuary where design meets stillness, and simplicity becomes a luxury of its own.
Sabi Beach is a modern haven for those seeking solace by the sea. Pools merge with the horizon, blue-glazed tiles reflect sky and water, and paths of timber and stone lead barefoot wanderers to spaces of intimacy or gathering. Here, luxury is measured not by grandeur but by connection – to nature, to space, and to self.
The day may begin at the Sabi Café, a timber-framed pavilion where espresso and warm pastries perfume the morning breeze. Light filters through slatted canopies, shadows dance gently, and the hush of design lets the sea speak freely.
As the day unfolds, Sabi Beach becomes a place to drift, float, and breathe in rhythm with the tides. Every detail, from materials to layout, has been chosen not for opulence, but for how it ages, how it tells a story, and how it glows under the Mediterranean sky.
DAAA Haus has envisioned Sabi as a sensory journey through raw, honest materials such as sun-aged timber, rough-hewn stone, hand-made terracotta, and burnished metals; all used in harmony to celebrate imperfection, character, and timelessness.
This is not a resort. It is an ode to Mediterranean life stripped to its essence, where texture replaces ornament, where light is the loudest design element, and where every surface invites touch, pause, and presence.
