Situated in the heart of Merchant Street in Valletta, Zitti embraces the art of dolce far niente, serving its patrons from breakfast to dinner with a focus on relaxation, enjoyment, and socialising setting. The overall aesthetic of Zitti draws inspiration from traditional Italian salumerias, infusing it with a modern twist to create a unique, cosy and inviting atmosphere.
The space features the use of a selected material library aimed to create depth through the use of layering. This approach adds visual interest and evokes a strong sense of emotion, enhancing the comprehensive look and feel of the space. By carefully handpicking and combining materials, textures, and design elements, Zitti offers an atmosphere that ensures a memorable dining experience.
The design focuses on the combination of oak woods, striking deep red tones, red marbles, microcement-finished walls, and accent colors of blue in various seating areas; all of which contribute to creating and inviting and warm setting. This blend of materials and colors is not only instrumental for the visual appeal, but it also fosters an inviting cozy and pleasant ambiance. Adding to the depth of such materials, antique effect mirrors were strategically installed to reflect light and create the illusion of more space while also adding a touch of vintage charm.
