DAAA Haus presents Camera 360 Seminar

Fri 27th May 2016 – DAAA Italia a branch of the Maltese interior design company DAAA Haus, today organised a very interesting seminar about the Sicilian tourism product offering for operators in the hospitality industry of this region. The event was put together with the collaboration of the regional tourist board Federalberghi, and included speakers from the banking and finance sector, hotel management and design and marketing sectors.

After a brief introduction by Keith Pillow, Founder & Creative Director of DAAA Haus and Dott. Rosario Dibennardo, the president of Federalberghi, attendees were addressed by Dott.sa Josephine Pace from Expandya. She explained the various structures of EU funding that existed and how these could be tapped into for the development of viable tourism projects. Her presentation was followed by a talk by Dott Emanuele Occhipinti of Banca Agricola Popolare di Ragusa. He explained the importance of a good business plan when it came to seek financing and illustrated with some examples how this plan can be formulated and presented.

After a short coffee break consisting of Sicilian delicacies, Mr. Vito D’Amico and Mr. Vito Boscarino from Hotel2Guest explained the mechanics of Hotel Management Systems and the benefits hospitality operators can derive from these methods to increase their flexibility to maximize returns. Keith Pillow and Architect Giorgio Occhipinti, partner at DAAA Italia concluded with a presentation about the DAAA Haus concept of developing architecture and interior design projects based on brand stories. This 360 degree concept is setting DAAA Haus apart from other studios in the region as it is in a position to offer a more comprehensive approach to business development and renovation projects of a commercial nature.

The Camera 360 concept was developed purposely to bring together different sources of knowledge for the continued improvement of the local business community. It was very well illustrated with a hotel room that was designed and built at one end of the DAAA Italia studio, where a couple of actors pretended to be staying in a typical hotel room. Seminar attendees got a chance to peep into their room through viewing holes that were made into the wall for this purpose, thus giving them a first-hand explanation of the insight they could acquire through the content of the seminar itself.

Other similar events are being planned for other regions within Sicily itself and possibly also elsewhere.
